| If you are in Daytona
for the 500 or any other reason, you owe it to yourself to stop by
Cruisin’ Café. Located on Beach side at the corner of
A1A and Main St. “Cruisin” has been feeding hungry race
fans for the past six years. The menu is excellent featuring a wide
variety of items from salads to burgers to steaks. They even have
gourmet pizza, not to mention mouthwatering desserts. |

When you walk through
the door it’s like walking into the pit area at the track. The
walls are alive with historic racing photographs. Nearly every driver
that’s ever raced is on display. The ceiling tiles are autographed
by some of the sports biggest and best drivers. Then there’s
the sheet metal! You can dine in an authentic stock car, which has
been retired straight off the track and converted into a dining booth.
Each table features a Daytona 500 winner with photos and information
about that driver. |
| The highlight
of your visit though would have to be the Earnhardt room. That’s
right they have room dedicated to Dale Earnhardt Sr. This room includes
the booth that was created from his historic Number 3 car, several
helmets and hundreds of pictures. You can even leave your own little
note in memory of Dale, which will be added to the ceiling tiles lining
this room. |

There’s so much
to see you will want to come back again and again so you don’t
miss anything. Don’t forget your camera! Oh and did we mention
they feature live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights? You
can also stop by their body shop and take home your very own Cruisin
Café souvenirs. Everything from hats to sweatshirts to beautifully
colored pins and drinking paraphernalia. Mention this article during
your visit and receive a free collectible coozie to keep your drink
cold at the races! |
